i think much of Monk’s early work is so urban sonic atmosphere oriented…one can hear city sounds in his work…amazing..

reminds me of the time I was studying in Sorbonne…and there was this guy in our apartments who used to start his day with this. i am remembering him

Certainly one of the standards that will survive the test of time. Monk is such an evolved musical soul!
