1990 | Eric Johnson: Guitars | Tommy Taylor: Drums | Kyle Brock: Bass
he is such a great player and more imprtantly..great guy.
I was sitting all alone one day pondering the mysteries of the universe and so on and so forth when I played Cliffs of Dover and kept it on a loop…
Super guitarist!
nice nice playing, must seek out more of eric Johnson :)
was Johnson mainly a Strat player? I saw some videos of his, where he was playing a strat..and I think Cliffs was also played on a strat
Ah via Musicom is sublime!
I have a strat like eric johnson but i can’t get a good sound. I have a FM D65 Fender amp with Gain, Treb, Mid, Bass, Volume, and effect volume. any idea about the settings? !
I saw Eric j in concert a couple of years ago. Very humble and really nice bloke. To make beautiful music, you need to have a beautiful heart and soul.
.
I am learning this for a talent show. I’ve pretty much got the whole song down, except for the hybrid picking part just before the end of the intro solo. I just can’t seem to play it fast enough. If I try to play it any faster than I can, it sounds real sloppy. Any tips?
Some of the most melodic guitaring I hv heard in a while.
Great tune especially the bridge part, the refrain? sorry I dont know the musical terms..
I have not heard this guitarist before, will surely google him. Thanks.
hehe I played this in Guitar Hero: Ripping Solos. :}
great blog :)

This is by far amongst the best curated creative content sites out there and the eye and vision of one man, when good, works better than any funded team. Inspired enormously once again :)

Never thought I’d say this, but it was the most interesting classes I’ve sat in.. and of course, the day you played Sultans of Swing for us. Hope you continue to influence the next generations with your dynamic yet simple teachings.
Hi Milindo, hope you are inspiring many more around you…wherever you are!
Still a fan of your unique and sweet finger strum on acoustic guitar. It made an ordinary guitar sound great. Would just love to see and hear one of those too.
